Dec 3rd - hopefully hand in my child inquiry paper

Dec 8th - literacy and child inquiry paper due

Dec 10th - last day of student teaching

Dec 15th - Portfolio due (?)

Dec 17th - last day of fall semester (core)

Dec 18-20th - go to Pittsburgh to see my LOVE!!!!

BAHHHHHHHH! i cannot wait until the 18th comes. The beginning of December is not going to be too much fun because of all my final papers and such being due but afterwards it will be like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I CANNOT WAIT! December will be a good month. Lots of good things are happening in that month. I basically have the entire month of January off - what should i do? i want to travel, well travel as in go across the country. I really want to go to to San Francisco and be a tourist, take pictures, ride the trolley, and such. I would also love to go somewhere tropical and lay on the beach and relax. I would also love to go to Southern California for a few days and play with friends from there! I wish i had excessive amounts of money so all of these plans could be accomplished! something I do know is that I plan to play with my friends non stop during my break because I have been neglecting this semester.

Jason is one of my students. He is probably one of the most adorable kids I have ever come across in my life. He is so cute, funny, and tries so hard in school even though you have to remind him sometimes to keep on working because he does get distracted really easily. I never see him without a smile on his face. He is also Asian. The school I am working at is pretty diverse, but it is in Park Slope and you know how people are so…

1. The first day of school the other assistant in the room just assumed that I was Jason’s mom because I didn’t get a chance to meet her formally before the kids started bombarding the room. REALLY?! I look like a mom… If Jason was my child I would have been 16 when I had him. I guess it is possible but REALLY?! 

2. Jason was convinced that he had a play date with this other kid in our class. So at dismissal, the other mom was going to wait until someone picked Jason up so we could clear up the story. She sees me and goes “Ooohhh are you picking up Jason today?” I would let this one slide but the thing is that I was in a meeting with this woman a couple days before discussing how her child was coping in the classroom. REALLY LADY ARE YOU NOT THAT OBSERVANT?!

3. This is the best one - Jason was having a play date with another kid in our class and when they were walking this other kid goes “Jason is Miss Christina your aunt?” Jason told me this…

ps - o yeah and remember the time Lucas told me I had sharp eyes…

pps - remember on warped tour when everyone thought I was this other chick and they would come up to me and just keep on talking about things I had no idea what they were talking about and I just kept on nodding along pretending I knew what they were talking about. Yeah…

I love it. I find it really funny - I couldn’t stop laughing after each event. So it is true guys - ALL ASIAN PEOPLE LOOK ALIKE!!!!!

anyway…

good weekend - watched movies, ate, slept a lot, worked out, and spent time with my favorite people (sleepover!!!)

watched new york, i love you with lisa and erica. I don’t understand why people said it was so bad. it wasn’t extraordinary, but it was a really cute movie. they should have edited out the shia labeouf part. i <3 him and all, but that piece didn’t really flow with the rest of the movie - yikes! 

i still need to see - where the wild things are, whip it, and paranormal activity. 

i love reminiscing and retelling past funny stories. it is the best. i almost came close to peeing in my pants several times today because of this. <3 it. what i don’t like is remembering things from the past that i have come to regret - it makes me get the hibbiejibbies and embarrassed. EWEWEWE. 

so much busy work this week. BLAH!
